TEXAS 2 STEPS Successfully Teaching Early Purposeful Skills - An Evaluation Tool for Orientation and Mobility Specialists - 002265
Strap on your boots, try your hand, and learn how to implement Texas 2 STEPS from evaluation to instructional planning for children with visual impairments, ages birth to five years. Video clips will be used to practice evaluating a child in both orientation and mobility. Attendees will then utilize the results to identify instructional strategies from the activities section of the Texas 2 STEPS. Participants will have an opportunity to participate in this interactive experiences and review the newly published tool with instructional strategies.

Prerequisite/Special Notes Participants must be an Orientation and Mobility specialist or in a professional preparation program to become an Orientation and Mobility specialist. One ACVREP contact hour will be awarded for each hour of learner participation in an organized CE activity, excluding breaks, meals, poster sessions, business meetings, and social hours.
