LRE Hatton W. Sumners Institutes Kids are Citizens, Too! (Kindergarten to 2nd Grade) - 003845
Kids need to understand basic concepts such as the need for rules and laws, characteristics of a good citizen, and respect for authority. This institute will provide resources that demonstrate these concepts as well as the symbols, customs, and celebrations that represent Americas identity. Materials will include hands-on activities and the use of children's literature and biographical information to help teach students about the notable historic figures featured in the TEKS standards. Materials and lunch provided.
