Best Practices for Diverse Learners in Science Grades 3-5 - 006655
Even a well-planned and executed lesson may not reach every student in the classroom. Teachers will experience a modeling of specially designed instruction and variety of strategies that help reach and meet the needs of students with varying needs. Practical, hands-on pieces that support content and vocabulary and strengthen reading comprehension are vital components. Time build or develop classroom-ready supports to take back and use in the classroom based upon your individual needs. Strategies will include how to reach students with special needs, the Gifted and Talented, and English language learners. Considerations will be included for how to accomplish these during the span of a typical class period. Participants need to bring personal technology devices such as iPad, smart phones, etc., to use in the session.

Audiences Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Teacher - General Education, Assistant Principals, Coordinators, Teacher - ESL (English as a Second Language), Teacher - Special Education, Teacher Supervisors
Prerequisite/Special Notes Please bring a device that can be used to access the internet, create documents for use in the classroom and share thinking and materials in a Google folder.
