Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for the Educator (3-Day Campus Team Training) - 2017/2018 - 008284
As educators who have the responsibility of teaching students with autism and other developmental disabilities, we often face challenges in attempting to motivate them to learn, cooperate, and behave appropriately. This series of workshops will focus on best practices drawn from empirical research for educating students with autism and developmental disabilities. Strategies utilized in the workshops will be based primarily on applied behavior analysis (ABA) and will be tailored to public school settings. The three-day training will require teams of 3-5 educators, administrators, therapists, etc., to work with a target student to implement specific behavioral and teaching interventions. In addition, participants can expect 4 hours of work outside of the face-to-face sessions (CE hours will reflect the additional outside work requirements).
