Pathways to Independence: Educators, Transition-Aged Youth with Disabilities, and Social Security Benefits - 010651
Educators play a vital role in setting transition-aged students on to a path of employment and financial independence. Social Security offers many opportunities and work incentives that encourage beneficiaries to work. This five-part webinar series will clearly demonstrate why it is important to know and understand those benefits for transition-aged youth. This series will offer a clear explanation of the various Social Security benefits, their rules, all applicable work incentives, and how to report and track them. Tools and strategies will also be shared to assist students as they move forward in career exploration through graduation.
