Ready Bodies, Learning Minds: Cultivating the Complete Child - 011589
This two-day training program emphasizes the powerful and essential connection between motor and sensory development and the ability to perform the many tasks necessary for independence, behavioral control, and academic achievement. The results of an action study involving approximately 200 students and the Ready Bodies Motor Lab will be discussed as well as classroom strategies. RBLM explores our physiological systems within the context of the Dynamics Systems Theory of Development and our current culture of education. The second day of the program includes further development of the theoretical framework along with multiple demonstrations of lab setup and activities.
