New Teacher Academy for Teachers of Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities - 012198
This three-day academy is for new teachers in self-contained, K-12+ settings for students with low-incidence disabilities (Significant Cognitive Disabilities, Medically Fragile). Participants must be in their first year of teaching in a self-contained LIFE Skills or Functional Academics-type classroom. Application is required with signatures from the campus administrator and participant prior to release of registration password. To request an application, email cbrant@esc11.net and put N.T.A. in the subject line. Maximum enrollment is 15. Participants will receive and work with professional books to deepen their knowledge and build their professional library. This will be a blended approach with online pre-work class and follow-up onsite technical assistance and Professional Learning Community participation. Participants will earn up to 24 CPEs.
