The Lone Star Literacy Institute, Kindergarten - 1st Grade - 012446
The Lone Star Literacy Institute is a two-day learning experience designed for classroom teachers seeking to implement the Workshop Model. During day one of the institute, participants will step into the shoes of a student, experiencing high-impact literacy instruction through the eyes of a child. Continuing through day two, attendees will learn how to teach brief, focused mini-lessons; provide responsive small group instruction; and empower learners to engage in purposeful independent practice. Throughout the institute, teachers will have an opportunity to dive deep -- unpacking, researching, and self-selecting learning paths designed to meet individual needs. Ongoing, online learning opportunities will be offered throughout the year.
