Migrant Education Program Update - 013685
Participants will engage with the new procedures, policies, and strategies related to the Migrant Education Program in 2019-2020. Possible local, state, and federal changes will be discussed. Participants will examine how their district/charter can implement or streamline strategies in order to best serve migratory children. Topics to be addressed include PFS Implementation and Monitoring Training, Parent Advisory Council details/sign-ups, and Identification and Recruitment requirements. Migrant Contacts in Active Districts/Charters should attend. It is required by the grant that ESC Region 11 offer this training to all SSA Members and Active Non-Project districts/charters with identified migratory children. Provide a framework, tools, and procedures for the 2019-2020 school year in the morning. Workshop scheduled in the afternoon to complete a resource survey and the PFS Action Plan.
