Local Accountability System Informational Presentation - 013951
House Bill (HB) 22 (85th Texas Legislature, Regular Session, 2017) established Local Accountability Systems (LAS), allowing districts and charter schools to develop plans to locally evaluate their campuses. Following approval by the agency, districts and charter schools may combine data from locally-developed components with the three state-mandated domains to assign overall A-F ratings for each campus. TEA will discuss the Local Accountability System (LAS) process, which encourages districts to focus on student outcome-based components identified as central to student success by community and stakeholder feedback.
