Moving Up with Avenue: Progress Monitoring with Students Who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing (REMOTE PARTICIPATION) - 014494
How do you monitor the academic progress of students who are D/HH? This presentation will provide strategies to monitor students' academic progress in language, early reading, reading (grades 1-6), and written expression. Discussion will focus on an overview of formative assessments used with students who are hearing, hard-of-hearing, or deaf; the implications of ESSA; and the application of valid and reliable data to determine the effectiveness of instruction. This session will include problem-solving opportunities, case study evaluations, and evidence-based resources to enhance instructional strategies for students who are D/HH. All participants will be given free access to the newest edition of Avenue: PM, a gamified app used to monitor reading and writing progress.
