Braille Production Webinar Series: Getting Started with Braille and Tactile Graphics - Braille Codes (UEB and Nemeth), Resources, Tactile Graphic Resources, Computer Software, and Hardware - 014651
Getting Started with Braille and Tactile Graphics Training is an interactive webinar for braille transcribers and teachers of students with visual impairments. Using a Zoom webinar connection, participants can experience hands-on learning in producing braille and tactile graphics using their own embossing equipment and software in their school. This webinar will cover a broad range of topics, including UEB and Nemeth Braille Codes, Resources, computer software, and computer hardware. Questions will be taken after each section. The webinar will be presented by Susan OBrien, an expert in Braille production from Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Participants are encouraged to submit questions or worksheets to Ms. OBrien before and during the workshop. **This workshop will not teach the Braille Code. Participants are expected to know braille before attending the webinar.
