Grade 3 Mathematics Achievement Academy - 012554
Eligible grade 3 teachers will examine learning progressions and critical checkpoints for students within the TEKS and experience classroom activities, including formative assessment and follow-up activities that support diverse learners. Teachers will build a toolkit of strategies and questions for students with disabilities, English language learners, struggling learners, and gifted learners. Structures providing meaningful practice and feedback will be explored. Through hands-on activities with whole number operations and fraction concepts, this academy will strengthen teachers' knowledge of mathematics concepts and processes, improve mathematics instruction, and support student success. Upon completion, eligible grade 3 teachers will receive a stipend. See prerequisite section for important information.
