Grades K-8, Cohort 1 (Cooke, Denton, and Wise Counties) STAARting with the TEKS: Math for the Digital Age Academy - 005225
Through problem-based activities and a blended learning environment, K-8 teachers will experience the rigor of the revised Math TEKS as well as the 21st-century skills students need through a county-based cohort. During three face-to-face sessions throughout June and July, participants will spotlight and deconstruct a Student Expectation, analyze potential learning gaps between grade levels, understand the learning progression of the spotlighted SE, and design tasks related to the spotlighted SE using two parallel technologies. This blended learning experience consists of three face-to-face sessions for 18 CPE hours and 6 CPE hours of online learning through Canvas which includes pre- and post-work for each session as well as discussion posts.
