New Teacher Academy for Special Education Teachers of Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities - Cohort 2 - 008597
This four-day academy is for new and novice teachers in self-contained, K-12+ settings for students with low-incidence disabilities (Significant Cognitive Disabilities, Medically Fragile). Participants must be in their first, second, or third year of teaching in a self-contained LIFE Skills or Functional Academics-type classroom. Application is required with signatures from the campus administrator and participant prior to release of registration password. To request an application, email cbrant@esc11.net and put N.T.A. in the subject line. Maximum enrollment is 35. Participants will receive and work with professional books to build their professional library. This will be a blended approach with online pre-work class and follow-up onsite technical assistance and Professional Learning Community participation. Participants will earn 30 CPEs

Prerequisite/Special Notes Must have administrator approval in order to obtain password for registration. Participants will not be able to join the class without a completed application and welcome email from the instructor.
