New Teacher Academy for Special Education Teachers of Students with Low-Incidence Disabilities - Cohort 2 - 008597
This four-day academy is for new and novice teachers in self-contained, K-12+ settings for students with low-incidence disabilities (Significant Cognitive Disabilities, Medically Fragile). Participants must be in their first, second, or third year of teaching in a self-contained LIFE Skills or Functional Academics-type classroom. Application is required with signatures from the campus administrator and participant prior to release of registration password. To request an application, email and put N.T.A. in the subject line. Maximum enrollment is 35. Participants will receive and work with professional books to build their professional library. This will be a blended approach with online pre-work class and follow-up onsite technical assistance and Professional Learning Community participation. Participants will earn 30 CPEs

Prerequisite/Special Notes Must have administrator approval in order to obtain password for registration. Participants will not be able to join the class without a completed application and welcome email from the instructor.
