Getting to Know Your Focus - 40 Refreshable Braille Device - 009071
Learning to use refreshable braille to read and to review computer input is an important skill for students with visual impairment. This workshop will provide hands-on instruction and problem-solving in the use of the Focus 40, refreshable braille display. The morning session will focus on basic operating procedures with the Focus 40 being discussed, including: connections to iOS and Android devices; using the keyboard to input and control a computer; and connecting to JAWS for speech and braille access with the Focus 40. Bring the device that the student will use to connect to the Focus 40. The afternoon session will focus on problem solving. Please download the latest operating system for iOS devices prior to the workshop.
