Gifted/Talented Training for Administrators and Counselors - 013278
To meet the requirements of the Texas Administrative Code and the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, administrators and counselors will receive a brief synopsis of the nature and needs, social and emotional development, identification, and assessment of gifted/talented students. Administrators and counselors will explore differentiated curriculum strategies, flexible scheduling, and staffing issues related to the development and implementation of a gifted/talented program. Educators will receive six hours of G/T credit in nature and needs and program options to meet the state requirement of six hours of training for administrators and counselors who have authority for gifted/talented program decisions.
