Best Practices for Diverse Learners in Science - Grades 3-5 - 006244
Even a well-planned and executed lesson may not reach every student in the classroom. Teachers will experience a variety of strategies that help reach and meet the needs of students with varying student needs. Practical, hands-on pieces that support content and vocabulary - as well as strengthen reading comprehension - are vital components. Specific strategies will show how to reach students with special needs, the gifted and talented, and English language learners. Considerations will be included for ways to accomplish these during the span of a typical class period. Participants are encouraged to bring personal technology devices such as iPad or smart phones to use in the session.
