Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) Framework for New LPAC Personnel 2017-2018 (TOT) - 006815
In order to ensure the appropriate identification, instructional placement, and assessment of students eligible for bilingual and ESL services, participants will gain knowledge of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) members' roles and responsibilities for the education plan of the English language learner as well as the Commissioner's rules (TAC Chapter 89, Subchapter BB). Collaboration with other special instructional programs (e.g., special education) will be addressed in order to ensure appropriate student placement and instruction. Information regarding assessment and both state and federal accountability standards will be examined to ensure compliance with government regulations and the appropriate assessment of English language learners.
