Core-Selective Workshop Series - Day 1 - 012265
This is Day 1 of a four-day series of trainings that will demonstrate how to identify a pattern of strengths and weaknesses (PSW) in students with SLD using the core-selective process (C-SEP) approach, while yielding diagnostically useful data to assist in determining eligibility and producing interventions and strategies to promote student success. It will also discuss the connection and differentiation between SLD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Evaluation personnel will receive information on how to use the C-SEP process to offer beneficial data in a legal and time-efficient manner. Using case-studies, discussions, and activities, Day 1 will cover the current status of SLD in Texas, the basic steps of C-SEP, types of scoring, viewing results through multiple lenses, Integrated Data Analysis, and PSW.
