Physical Properties of Matter in Grades 3-5 Science - 013412
Matter has physical properties that are measurable. Those same properties also determine how matter is classified, changed, and used. Hands-on experiences and investigations help students observe, record, and predict changes caused by heating and cooling as well as when ingredients are dissolved or added to water. Speaking and writing about these experiences allow students to grow in their own understanding and help others do the same. Strategies embedded in the session will help teachers make content accessible for struggling learners and English Learners as well as challenging for gifted learners.

Audiences Teacher - Elementary (Grades 1-5), Coordinators, Teacher - General Education, Teacher Certification Candidate
