Mirrors, Windows, and Sliding Glass Doors: Student Identity in Literacy - 013419
In this session, you will examine the ways that literacy and identity are connected. You will learn the various ways texts can impact students in their self-perception as well as how they see the world. You will gain strategies in selecting texts that offer authentic representation and instructional strategies that both increase literacy skills and build a community of equity and respect in your classroom.
