Forces - Science Grades 3-5 - 013894
Participants will experience forces related to movement that include pushing, pulling, friction, and magnetism as well as the role that gravity plays on each. Opportunities will be provide for teachers to demonstrate their understanding by designing their own descriptive and investigative experiments. Time to create and plan student activities in collaborative groups will be facilitated. Teachers will walk away with activities and lab investigations for use in their classrooms. Speaking and writing about these experiences allow students to grow in their own understanding and help others do the same. Strategies embedded in the session will help teachers make content accessible for struggling learners and English Learners as well as challenging for gifted learners.

Prerequisite/Special Notes Please bring a device that can be used to access the internet, create documents for use in the classroom and share thinking and materials in a Google folder.
