Bite-Sized Summer Learning Series: Visual Supports for Students Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the General Education Classroom - 013991
Have two or three hours? Then come join us this summer as we offer a series of mini sessions on evidence-based strategies that will help you improve student learning. The intended outcome is that participants will increase their repertoire of learning strategies that have been shown to be effective for learners with unique learning needs.

Research has shown that concrete visual teaching methods are recommended for students with Autism in order for them to be successful in the educational setting. Visual supports are tools that are used to increase the understanding of language, environmental expectations, and to provide structure and support for individuals with ASD in the general education classroom.

Audiences Teacher - Special Education, Charter School Personnel, Paraprofessionals, Parents, Speech Therapists, Teacher - General Education
