Developing Cultural Competence - Trainer of Trainers - 014190
Cultural Proficiency is a premier strategy employed by school leaders and community members striving to increase academic outcomes and support students in developing their sense of identity. Teachers who are culturally proficient create an environment where social narratives can be deconstructed through the utilization of teaching practices and a curriculum that honors students' cultural identities. This session will challenge learners to reflect on their own cultural competence as well as their personal pedagogy as it relates to supporting students and families from diverse backgrounds.
