Upstanders in the Holocaust: Social Emotional Learning and Confronting Bias - 014789
Join the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum Education Team for an in-depth discussion on the importance of Upstander behavior as a model for driving change in history using the Holocaust as a historical platform. In this curriculum-aligned presentation, educators will learn about the history of the Holocaust and the Upstanders who fought for basic human rights and dignity. Participants will be introduced to the concept of unconscious bias and the role that bias plays within ourselves and our community. Teachers will leave with a TEKS-aligned lesson plan on Upstanders in history as well as resources from the Museum.
